Acting

Son of a bysshe

This past year, Julia took on the role of Mary in the short film Son of a Bysshe. This story is from the perspective of the Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who has run away with his wife Harriet, and gone to work under his idol William Godwin. It’s there that he meets Mary Godwin. The story is based on historical events, but with a slight twist: Mary and Harriet are represented by mannequins. The story is about the danger of falling in love with the idea of someone, and questions how much we should let “love” guide our actions.
